Basic Examination Model
Small-Diameter Access with Integrated Diagnostic and Therapeutic Capabilities|
With an outer diameter of 3.9 mm, a 1.2 mm working channel, and four-way tip deflection, this flexible endoscope is designed for minimally invasive entry in small-bodied patients. It supports basic diagnostic and light therapeutic procedures, making it an ideal entry-level system for solo practices and small animal hospitals seeking to adopt endoscopy.
Domestic cats of all ages, and small-breed dogs weighing ≤10 kg (e.g., Toy Poodle, Bichon Frise, Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier).
Diagnostic Scenarios
Routine screening of the upper gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, proximal duodenum): visual assessment of chronic gastritis, mucosal erosion, gastric ulcers, and polyps.
Investigative endoscopy for unexplained vomiting, poor appetite, melena, and ptyalism.
Postoperative evaluation of mucosal healing following gastrointestinal surgery or foreign body removal.
Therapeutic Scenarios
Superficial mucosal biopsy.
Removal of small, soft foreign bodies (e.g., thread, hairballs, thin plastic fragments).
Topical drug delivery to lesions and gastric lavage.
The 1.2 mm working channel cannot retrieve large or hard foreign bodies (e.g., bones, hard plastic toys), nor does it support electrocautery or cutting.
The diameter and length render this endoscope unsuitable for very narrow lumens such as the feline urethra or bronchi.
Not recommended for deep, full-gastrointestinal diagnosis or treatment in dogs weighing >10 kg.
